Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welding Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in welding processes to ensure high-quality production and compliance with industry standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in welding processes to ensure high-quality production and compliance with industry standards Develop, implement, and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processes Provide technical support to resolve welding-related issues in production Conduct weld inspections and ensure compliance with codes and specifications Collaborate with quality teams to analyze weld defects and implement corrective actions Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance weld quality and efficiency Maintain documentation and reports related to welding activities and procedures Duties/Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processes Provide technical support to resolve welding-related issues in production Conduct weld inspections and ensure compliance with codes and specifications Collaborate with quality teams to analyze weld defects and implement corrective actions Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance weld quality and efficiency Maintain documentation and reports related to welding activities and procedures Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Required Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME, etc.) Hands-on experience with a variety of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and resistance welding Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Education and Experience: B.S. degree in Welding Engineering or Materials Science from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment Physical Requirements: Physically able to support shop-floor operations which include lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working in industrial environments Must be able to travel up to 10-20% of the time needed Company Description At Milton Manufacturing Inc., we've been a trusted name in precision metal components for over 30 years.
