Role The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the execution of digital marketing strategies across all social platforms. This position is responsible for creating engaging content, managing day-to-day social media activities, and analyzing performance to drive brand awareness, audience growth, and overall engagement.
Working closely with the Marketing team, the Social Media Coordinator will assist in planning and implementing campaigns, maintaining brand voice and consistency, and identifying trends and opportunities to maximize reach and impact.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Publishing:
Develop, schedule, and publish engaging social media content that highlights Margaritaville at Sea’s onboard experiences, retail offerings, destinations, and lifestyle brand. Ensure all content reflects the brand voice and resonates with target audiences across platforms.
Social Media Management:
Manage daily social media activity across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X by scheduling posts, maintaining a consistent content calendar, and ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns and brand voice.
Campaign Support:
Assist in executing social media campaigns, promotions, and partnerships that drive awareness and onboard revenue, including highlighting retail promotions, special events, and limited-time offers.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement, optimize content, and support marketing and revenue goals.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work closely with onboard teams such as retail, entertainment, and food & beverage to ensure social media content aligns with current offerings and supports revenue-generating initiatives.
Trend Monitoring:
Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content styles to keep Margaritaville at Sea relevant, competitive, and engaging within the travel and hospitality space.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
Strong interest in social media marketing, travel, and lifestyle branding
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Experience
Previous experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or a related field (internship, part-time role, or academic projects preferred)
Experience creating and managing content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, or similar
Exposure to content planning, scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout, Later), or social media analytics platforms is a plus
Experience in hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or retail-related industries is preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to support marketing campaigns, promotions, or brand initiatives
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, with knowledge of best practices for each
Proficiency in content creation, including basic photo and video editing using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to improve performance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging to align with brand voice
Creative thinking with a strong eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, retail, and onboard operational teams
Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of guest experience within the travel and hospitality industry
Awareness of emerging social media trends, digital marketing strategies, and influencer marketing practices
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel This role requires periodic travel, including time onboard company cruise ship vessels, to support marketing initiatives and gain operational insight.
Work Conditions Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Location: Orlando (In-person). The office is in Orlando.

Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work.
