Senior Technical Lead – Mobile Applications Experience 8 – 14 years of overall IT experience (Relevant application development or support experience)
Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical owner for mobile app solutions across design, build, delivery, and production support.
Support architecture decisions related to modernization, scalability, performance, and platform evolution.
Review designs and code to ensure alignment with clean architecture, MVVM, and SOLID principles.
Design, develop, and optimize mobile applications using .NET MAUI (primary) and Xamarin (legacy/transition support).
Ensure compliance with iOS lifecycle management, App Store guidelines, and Apple platform standards.
Have experience working on paired Mac and Windows machine.
Oversee integration with RESTful APIs, ensuring secure, resilient, and performant communication.
Provide architectural oversight for SQL-backed systems, local storage (SQLite), and synchronization strategies.
Ensure secure handling of data at rest and in transit, including token management and encryption.
Own mobile release governance including versioning, signing, certificates, provisioning profiles, and App Store/TestFlight readiness.
Establish quality gates through code reviews, testing strategies, and release checklists.
Partner with QA and DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines support reliable mobile builds.
Act as senior escalation point for production incidents, lead RCA, and implement permanent fixes.
Develop new functionality and upgrades: As a Full Stack .NET developer using REST APIs on Oracle & SQL Server – developing SQL, PL/SQL, tuning, production fixes using ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core, C#, Web API.
Core Mobile Technologies
.NET MAUI (iOS) – architecture, performance tuning, production deployment
Xamarin (Xamarin.iOS / Xamarin.Forms) – legacy support and migration execution
MVVM, dependency injection, modular design patterns
iOS Platform Expertise
iOS application lifecycle, background processing, notifications, secure storage
Debugging and crash analysis for iOS applications
Understanding of App Store compliance, signing, certificates, and provisioning
Integration & Data
RESTful APIs – authentication, serialization, resiliency patterns
SQL/T-SQL – strong understanding of queries, performance considerations, and data integrity
Local data storage patterns (SQLite, offline-sync concepts)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering / IT or equivalent experience
Compensation $110 K to $135 K Annum Base Salary + COLA and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
