This role is being created to optimize our operations as a legendary 40‑year manager prepares for retirement. For the right candidate, this position offers excellent runway and career progression, with the long‑term potential to transition into a Branch Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development:
Directly manage and mentor a team of 4 Inside Sales Professionals, 1 Administrator, and 3 Counter Sales Professionals. Conduct one‑on‑ones, drive performance reviews, and focus heavily on delegating and developing the next generation of leaders.
Operations & Quoting:
Oversee daily quoting processes for commercial and residential plumbing/mechanical contractors, ensuring speed and accuracy.

Act as the natural problem‑solver and escalation point for contractor and vendor issues, freeing up executive branch leadership.
Silo Busting:
Build strong bridges between the sales team and warehouse operations to ensure we never over‑promise what operations cannot deliver.
Financial & Metric Management:
Utilize the branch scoreboard to track metrics like sales volume, year‑over‑year growth, and gross margin dollars. Exercise financial acumen regarding vendor negotiations, strategic pricing decisions, and inventory holding choices.
Culture Setting:
Foster an open‑minded, continuous learning environment. Help the branch adopt new corporate growth strategies and innovative business development ideas.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
