Department: Global Supply Chain/COE Work Location: Marlborough, MA (hybrid) Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations. What you will be doing: We are looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to design and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to solve real-world business problems, particularly in supply chain and planning. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable models and deliver impactful insights. Apply machine learning techniques such as clustering, regression, ensemble learning, neural networks, and time series modeling to business problems Develop and optimize models for demand forecasting, anomaly detection, optimization (heuristics, linear programming, genetic algorithms), and simulation Leverage the latest AI/ML advancements to drive business value Analyze complex problems, evaluate alternative approaches, and clearly communicate results with assumptions Work with business metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, Bias, and MAPE, and create new metrics as needed Build and optimize modules for real-time integration with external systems via web services Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, consultants, and data engineers to ensure successful project delivery Skills needed to be successful in this role: Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams Transparent and proactive communication style Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field 4+ years in data science or analytics, with hands-on experience in time series forecasting at scale Strong experience with forecasting methods such as exponential smoothing, ARIMA, Prophet, and custom model tuning Experience in supply chain analytics (demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, pricing, market intelligence) Solid proficiency and demonstrated experience with Python and/or R Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, feature engineering, and model optimization Experience building scalable ML frameworks and working with large datasets Ability to travel domestically/internationally (up to 5%). Ability to attend early morning and evening calls as required. Authorized to work full time in the United States. Preferred Qualification: Experience in retail, CPG or manufacturing. In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $103,000.00 -$130,000.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
