Position Overview A leading manufacturing facility in La Vergne is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Supervisor
to lead maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, managing preventive maintenance programs, reducing downtime, and supporting plant productivity goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, CMMS systems, and leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily maintenance activities to support plant safety, quality, and production goals Drive equipment reliability and uptime improvements using data-driven decision-making Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies Manage and optimize the CMMS system, including preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, asset records, and maintenance planning Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) Manage spare parts inventory and establish critical spare parts strategies Control maintenance spending and support cost reduction initiatives Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing teams Oversee repairs, upgrades, installations, and modifications of production equipment and facility systems Promote and maintain 5S standards throughout maintenance areas Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field 3-7 years of experience in maintenance leadership, reliability engineering, or manufacturing operations Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Experience using SAP PM or other CMMS maintenance management systems Experience with root cause analysis tools such as: 5 Why Analysis Fishbone Diagrams FMEA
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs Strong understanding of maintenance budgeting, cost control, and inventory management Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments Knowledge of OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations
Preferred: Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Experience driving reliability and continuous improvement initiatives Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus
