Summary The Cloud, Infrastructure, DevSecOps Engineer will focus on all aspects of design, analysis, implementation, and support of systems, software, and other solutions pertaining to deploying capabilities to cloud systems. The candidate will work within a team of software and IT engineers to build high‑performance, cloud‑based solutions. Responsibilities Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for cloud deployment and consumption. Support the adoption of cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, and micro‑services. Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement cloud solutions. Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions are secure and compliant. Effectively interface with customer personnel at varying organizational levels. Self‑motivate and work independently with minimal supervision. Report status on tasks and assignments. Generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs, applying current industry design concepts and basic technical writing skills. Perform effectively as part of a project team. Experience with tools such as Gitlab, SonarQube, Nexus, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes (Rancher, OpenShift, K3S), Linux, AWS/Azure/GCP, and Terraform. Qualifications and Education Requirements BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field required. 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on‑premise and cloud resources. 2+ years of network and operating system experience. 2+ years of experience in container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker. Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion. Experience working with defect management systems such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Fogbugz. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Preferred Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Well‑refined troubleshooting skills to determine root causes and resolve systemic problems. Ability to perform technical briefings to various groups and engineers. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Experience using and deploying RDMS, NoSQL, or Graph databases. Experience managing or implementing server/clients with Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) platforms and federation services such as NetIQ, ADFS, Azure MFA, Keycloak, RedHat SSO, Duo, SAML, etc. Experience scaling applications based on user demand. Experience working with service‑based architectures and Web APIs. IAT Level2 Certification (e.g., Security+). Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT, and JSON. Experience working and deploying on DoD networks including NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS. Experience with administration of CI/CD pipeline tools. Administration experience on Microsoft Enterprise CA – Cert Requests/Monitoring. Administration experience on Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). Familiarity with Information Assurance programs. Experience with Linux bash scripts. Experience with Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Microsoft Bicep. Any of the following certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, ISC² CISSP, CompTIA Cloud+, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials. Shall not divulge any information or provide access to other employees without a need‑to‑know or management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company‑provided resources. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Work Environment & Physical Demands Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility. Must be able to work overtime on and off‑shifts as required. Employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues. Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; manual dexterity to operate computers or other standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms. Ability to support rack‑mounted equipment (up to 7feet off the ground).
