Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, support, and maintain Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
Administer and support VMware server/cluster environments.
Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology on assigned systems.
Maintain and apply operating system security patches.
Maintain system configuration standards using DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinating resolution with internal and external resources.
Document maintenance, repairs, and testing activities; update documentation as part of every project.
Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existing systems.
Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Research and implement automated processes to improve operational efficiency.
Analyze and monitor system capacity and performance, recommending enhancements as needed.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Travel 30%–35% to other sites, as needed.
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux System Administration.
Active Security+ CE certification or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Experience with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation.
Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
Familiarity with the RMF process.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends.
Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 40 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of Navy systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is a plus.
Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience and/or advanced certification. A Master's degree may be considered in lieu of 3 years of professional experience.
Clearance All applicants for this position must possess a current Top‑Secret clearance; the clearance process considers financial background aspects.
Compensation The MIL Corporation offers a comprehensive range of benefits, including health, life, disability, retirement plans, and paid time off. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,000–$90,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and contractual limits.
