Position Overview Senior Data Analyst, Global Incentive Compensation Analytics. The Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) team manages sales compensation for Salesforce, from designing plans to administering payments. Responsibilities Advanced Modeling & Simulation: Build and deploy predictive models in Python to simulate the financial and behavioral impacts of proposed compensation plan changes. Deep‑Dive Analytics: Perform sophisticated statistical analyses to evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of incentive compensation programs. Data Pipeline & Automation: Extract, manipulate, and transform large datasets using advanced SQL and Python to automate insight generation. Strategic Partnership: Serve as the technical analytics partner for GTM organizations, translating models into actionable recommendations. Forecasting: Track commission costs by developing predictive algorithms for future GTM performance and payouts. Pay‑for‑Performance Framework: Design and build a framework to evaluate payout rates and compensation structures across roles and tiers. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Experience: 3+ years in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or highly technical quantitative analysis. Advanced Programming: Proficiency in Python (or R) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and building scientific models. SQL/Snowflake: Advanced proficiency in SQL/Snowflake, including complex query authoring, optimization, and troubleshooting. Data Visualization: Proficiency in building automated dashboards in Tableau or a similar tool. Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to independently address complex analytical requests, structure data pipelines, perform analyses, validate assumptions, and deliver reliable scientific models. Communication & Storytelling: Ability to synthesize complex data and scientific methodologies into clear, consumable deliverables with actionable takeaways. Industry Knowledge: Preference for a general understanding of how a SaaS GTM engine functions. CRM Knowledge: Knowledge of Salesforce products and/or CRM infrastructure preferred. Typical base salary range is $94,000 – $142,300 annually (base salary only; bonuses, equity, and benefits not included).
