The Role:
Reporting directly to the Engineering Director, as part of an engineering team of 4, you will lead bespoke design and development projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating custom engineered products, taking ownership of the entire project lifecycle, many of which will involve overmoulding of components and cables. You will work closely with customers and internal teams, developing innovative and commercially viable design solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Be the technical point of contact for customers, supporting NPI and R&D activities from concept through to launch. · Produce detailed product designs and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with customer and manufacturing requirements. · Prepare product costings and quotations. · Maintain and manage accurate ERP data, including the creation of new product records, bills of materials and manufacturing routings. · Deliver new product briefings and training to production teams. ...
