Skills & Experience The ideal candidate is a senior, credible industry leader with strong judgement and a passion for creating sustained member value through knowledge and insight, rather than through personal authorship or delivery ownership.
They are comfortable operating in complex, multistakeholder environments, where clarity, coherence, and prioritisation matter more than formal control.
Their experience:
Proven experience curating and distilling a clear point of view across complex subject areas, working collaboratively rather than in a silo
Strong ability to translate fragmented inputs (research, member perspectives, innovation activity, delivery experience) into focus and clarity
A clear member value mindset, understanding that knowledge only matters when it helps members understand, decide, and act
Credibility working with senior peers (Mission Leaders, Product, Marketing) and the confidence to challenge constructively
Experience leading knowledge, insight, research, analyst, or content capabilities at scale, including conference content and insight teams
Success Measures
A set of clear, trusted, Mission‑led topical points of view that is current, coherent, and actively used by Mission Leaders, Marketing, and Product teams to guide priorities and engagement.
Events (digital and in‑person) that attract the right audiences and deliver strong experiences, evidenced by attendance from Mission target personas, positive audience and speaker feedback (e.g. NPS), and stages that attract the best content in the industry.
Insight products that are commercially sustainable, with research, benchmarking, and insight assets forming a self‑funding portfolio aligned to priorities agreed with the Commercial Director.
Knowledge that informs action and change, with clear evidence that insights, case studies, and learning influence Mission focus, Cocreate activity, and member decision‑making.
Member engagement driven by relevance and usefulness, reflected in positive sentiment and sustained consumption of knowledge because members find it valuable, not simply because it is promoted.
Greater organisational focus and coherence, with reduced duplication across knowledge, events, and insight activity, and strong alignment between Knowledge, Missions, Marketing, Commercial, and Product teams.
