Site Safety Technician Goyette Mechanical is a reputable mechanical contracting company specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. With a strong presence in the industry, Goyette Mechanical has been serving commercial, industrial, and residential clients for 98 years! The team is seeking multiple Site Safety Technicians to support construction projects throughout Northwest Indiana, with primary jobsite locations in New Carlisle, Hobart, and Wheatfield. The Site Safety Technician ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures from the project owner, general contractor, and/or Goyette Mechanical. The Site Safety Technician leads project safety pre-planning, subcontractor pre-qualification, and pre-construction meetings as needed. The Site Safety Technician maintains accurate safety records, conducts incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions, and ensures timely reporting and tracking of worksite injuries. Additionally, the Site Safety Technician performs color coding inspections, fall protection checks, equipment evaluations, and job hazard assessments. Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Site Safety Technician:
Previous safety experience with a construction or service company is preferred Mission-critical experience preferred Experience with fall arrest/fall restraint in elevated construction work surfaces Experience with confined space work in construction or adjacent field, such as emergency responses or industrial safety work OSHA 30 certification required, OSHA 510 preferred Ability to foster a positive and productive safety culture
