Essential Functions
Design and maintain operational dashboards and KPI tracking systems covering transportation, warehousing, and delivery performance
Analyze route efficiency, fleet utilization, warehouse throughput, and labor productivity to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Build and automate recurring reports using Python and BI tooling; reduce reliance on manual data compilation
Conduct scenario analyses and assist with forecast tool development to support leadership planning
Partner with operational leaders to document current-state workflows, identify inefficiencies, and quantify the business impact of proposed changes
Support cross-functional initiatives including carrier management, equipment lifecycle decisions, and network optimization
Translate operational problems into structured analytical frameworks and present findings to senior leadership with clear recommendations
Assist in the development and tracking of operational playbooks, standard operating procedures, and performance benchmarks
Extract, clean, and model data from ERP, WMS, Labor Reporting, and other operational systems into structured, decision-ready formats
Identify and remediate data quality issues across operational data sources; advocate for improved data governance practices
Collaborate with IT to define business requirements for system enhancements, integrations, and reporting infrastructure
Evaluate third‑party data sources (e.g., fuel price indices, carrier benchmarks) and integrate into internal models as appropriate
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for operational cost centers
Build business cases for capital expenditures, outsourcing decisions, and technology investments with supporting ROI analysis
Assist with contract analysis, benchmarking, and performance tracking against external vendor and carrier commitments

Education & Experience
Business degree in Business, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in business analysis, support, or technical analysis role
Experience in Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting
Experience with data warehouse environments preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formula construction
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
Experience in warehousing, distribution, cold chain logistics, or transportation operations, preferred
Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and/or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), preferred
Exposure to ERP platforms operational reporting within them, preferred
Familiarity with fuel cost indexing, CPI escalation modeling, or supply chain cost drivers, preferred
Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems
