Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily patient care, including hygiene, mobility, feeding assistance, and repositioning
- Monitor patients and report any changes in condition to the care team
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Perform basic clinical tasks and advanced skills as trained (e.g., wound care, specimen collection)
- Support unit operations through clerical tasks and use of healthcare technology
- Follow safety, infection control, and patient care protocols
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and manage workload effectively
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNA, CPCT, or enrollment in a healthcare career program preferred
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 1 month of hire
- Completion of PCT competency validation within 3 months
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous patient care experience
- EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) background
- Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT)
- Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) certification (where applicable)
