Responsibilities
Effectively manage and collaborate with project stakeholders.
Communicate across the internal team to ensure efficiency and consistent delivery to the client.
Analyze, track, and manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
Verify the use of effective project governance, processes, and systems.
Apply best practice on all projects.
Produce formal project status reports and other required reports.
Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure approved design standards are applied correctly.
Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
Facilitate the flow of project information through regular meetings and written communications.
Forecast and update key project milestones.
Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors, and regional stakeholders.
Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field.
Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance as required.
Review status reports, drawing submittals, timelines, and costs from architects, contractors, and suppliers.
Assist in developing excellent working relationships with clients to maximize new opportunities.
Offer strategic advice to project teams on approaches that help achieve client and business objectives.
Ensure key information and learnings from each project are captured for knowledge management.
Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes.
Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of electrical project management experience, ideally in data center construction or with an electrical contractor.
Experience with substation and power distribution systems preferred.
Familiarity with MEP design.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in project management tools.
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
Proficiency in the Data Center Commissioning Process (levels 1–5).
Experience managing construction documents including BODs, specifications, contract drawings, C/D/E’s, equipment submittals, and RFIs.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, P6, CxAlloy, and other construction project management tools.
