Collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine in the administration and operation of the sports medicine clinic Provide sports medicine coverage for home athletic events and assigned travel responsibilities Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate injuries sustained by student-athletes Assist with organizing and administering annual pre-participation physical examinations Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for student-athletes Document injuries, treatments, and athlete play status using the Healthy Roster system Design and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs Communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, physicians, and other healthcare professionals Serve as a liaison between student-athletes and outside medical providers, including coordinating referrals and appointments as needed Assist with secondary insurance claims related to athletic injuries Serve as an Approved Clinical Preceptor for Athletic Training students, providing supervision and clinical instruction Supervise student interns and work-study students Adhere to the NATA Code of Ethics Perform additional duties as assigned
Primary Sport Responsibilities: Fall · Football (including team travel) Winter · Men's and Women's Wrestling Spring · Baseball Coverage Expectations: Football
Practice coverage required Home and away competition coverage required

Home event coverage required Travel coverage limited to postseason conference and NCAA competition
Schedule & Clinical Responsibilities
Develop and manage treatment schedules for assigned teams, Monday - Friday Evening and weekend event coverage as scheduled
Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred. Possess and maintain national certification through the Board of Certification Inc. (BOC). Must have or obtain a license to practice Athletic Training in the state of Missouri. CPR/AED/First Aid certification. Experience:
Knowledge of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and safe conditioning practices Strong understanding of anatomy, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and nutrition Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Sound judgment and professionalism when handling sensitive student information Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student-athlete development
