Job Summary Provides support in solving all phases of a large and complex Critical Infrastructure Security (CIS) program. Performs a full range of analytical duties using multidisciplinary security concepts, principles, and practices applicable to security administration. Responds to and reports on IT security incidents, conducting initial assessments of impact severity and incident types. Responsibilities Implement, monitor, and maintain preventive and detective controls. Monitor computing resources for evidence of compromise and report security incidents. Analyze compromised computing resources ranging from routine to moderate complexity to improve security design and policy compliance. Develop and implement mitigation strategies for threat reduction based on monitoring of IT systems. Research, analyze, design, test, and implement new or vendor supplied security software solutions. Provide up-to-date documentation and procedures on security software product administration. Assist in the development of technical security standards to support policies, including creating, coordinating, and monitoring standards and incident investigation procedures. Work as a member of the Incident Response Team and perform analysis of security breaches. Research, analyze, and design cyber security monitoring programs, including technologies and processes. Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviewing security violation reports, and investigating possible security exceptions. Develop and defend new technical security standards to support policies. Perform periodic and complex operating system and application security assessments to determine vulnerability or compromise likelihood and prepare possible resolutions for implementation. Educate and promote security awareness through creation and delivery of training content and awareness material. Serve as a mentor for junior security teammates. Experience Level 2: Minimum two years of progressively responsible IT analysis or IT security administration experience. Senior Level: Minimum five years of related work experience. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline (Preferred). Alternate combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable. Certifications CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Preferred). Other preferred certs: Security+, GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, or GREM. Location & Schedule Taylor, TX with a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week (physical work location). Compensation Expected Salary Range: $90,000 - $124,000.
