We are currently seeking a Part-Time/Adjunct Electrical Technician Instructor to join our skilled trades faculty.
If you are an experienced electrician with a passion for mentoring and giving back to the trade, this is an excellent opportunity to transition your field expertise into a rewarding teaching role.
Program Overview:
The Electrical Technician program introduces students to foundational concepts in residential and commercial wiring. With a strong emphasis on safety and code compliance, students gain hands-on experience installing circuits, switches, conductors, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years of professional electrical field experience required
Demonstrated expertise in:
Residential and commercial wiring;
Code compliance and safety standards;
Hands-on installation practices;
Ability to effectively demonstrate electrical theory and practical application.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to student success and workforce readiness.
Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), database software, Google docs, and use of internet.
Must be punctual, responsible, organized, ethical and a team player.
Excellent multi-tasking and communication (written and verbal) skills is required.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be professional and maintain confidentiality of employee information and campus records.
Must be flexible to work earlier or later shifts or weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver lecture and hands-on laboratory instruction aligned with the approved curriculum.
Follow established course outlines, objectives, and evaluation standards.
Develop and maintain daily lesson plans and instructional documentation.
Monitor and document student attendance and retention.
Grade assignments and provide feedback within 48 hours.
Provide academic support during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
Advise students regarding academic performance and institutional policies.
Maintain communication with academic leadership (Lead Instructor, Program Chair, Academic Dean, or Campus President).
Monitor laboratory equipment, tools, and supply inventory.
Secure instructional materials and supplies as needed.
Participate in professional development to maintain accreditation standards, including required AHED online training and Foundations of Teaching modules.
Substitute for other instructors when necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
