Position Description Must be located in Arizona to be considered. Provides network support activities surrounding the management of network equipment and systems for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Also supports existing network technologies and provides input on solutions proposed by the Manager of IT Security and Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participates in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of network-related hardware and software solutions. Monitors networks for potential problems and provides solutions. Supervises installation of network cabling for new and/or existing locations, providing excellent customer service. Assists in ensuring compliance with availability and performance standards. Installs and configures network equipment per established standards. Maintains and updates network-monitoring systems. Maintains, monitors, configures, and deploys wireless access points and controllers. Responsible for network equipment installation, troubleshooting, and hardware testing as well as ongoing maintenance of production and staging/QA environments. Develops and maintains detailed maintenance and contingency plans, as well as updates documentation for network systems. Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance. Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) Degree in Computer/Information Science, technical college or equivalent work experience desired. 2+ years of progressive experience as a Network Administrator. Network+, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Excellent understanding of TCP/IP principles and practices. Demonstrated understanding of network security and firewall technologies, VPNs, and IDS/IPS. Demonstrated understanding of switch security, VLANS, and spanning tree. Familiarity with Cisco IOS, Cisco VoIP systems, Cisco routers, SIP Trunks, and LAN/WAN communications. Experience implementing and maintaining network technologies in a mixed vendor environment. Strong ability to focus on network troubleshooting and resolution. Working knowledge of IMAP, POP, LDAP, and other mail server and directory services protocols. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to speak and read English proficiently. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in partnership with others. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and accuracy. Valid driver’s license and clean MVR. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for the position. Ability to obtain or currently retain a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
