We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible primary care physician (Internal Medicine/Family Medicine)to provide comprehensive primary care services for a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facility. This is an excellent opportunity to serve our nation's veterans while working within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities The physician will provide a full range of primary care services, including but not limited to:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, histories, and physical examinations Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other diagnostic studies Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications as clinically appropriate Provide patient education and counseling regarding treatment plans and disease management Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify care plans as needed Coordinate consultations and referrals with specialty providers Discuss advance care planning and end-of-life preferences when appropriate Promote preventive care, wellness, and disease prevention initiatives Ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up arrangements Provide ongoing outpatient and/or inpatient care as assigned Complete accurate and timely medical documentation Perform additional duties consistent with the scope of primary care practice
Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia All licenses must be full and unrestricted with no history of suspension, revocation, restriction, surrender, or denial Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or equivalent Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive primary care services Preferred Skills Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills Experience working in federal, military, or veteran healthcare settings is a plus
