Teal Energi is partnered with a privately held client that is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of outside sales professionals across a defined territory. This role is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, strengthening key customer relationships, and building a disciplined, high-performing sales organization. Reporting to a senior revenue leader, the position offers meaningful autonomy, visibility, and impact on regional results and long-term growth.
Job Duties Sales Leadership and Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately five Outside Sales Representatives
Set clear expectations for sales activity, pipeline quality, and performance results
Conduct regular field coaching, ride‑alongs, joint customer visits, and one‑on‑one meetings
Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top sales talent; support ongoing professional development
Establish performance goals, deliver feedback, and conduct performance reviews in partnership with HR
Revenue Growth and Execution
Translate regional revenue targets into individual quotas and actionable territory or account plans
Optimize territory design and account assignments to improve coverage and growth opportunities
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and monitor pipeline health, KPIs, and win/loss trends
Personally engage with strategic accounts, complex negotiations, and senior customer stakeholders
Operational Leadership
Lead forecast calls, pipeline reviews, and team meetings to drive accountability and improvement
Collaborate with marketing, operations, service delivery, and finance to support sales execution
Ensure consistent and disciplined use of CRM tools for opportunity and activity management
Approve travel, expenses, and account investments in alignment with policy and ROI expectations
Model professionalism, ethical behavior, and a strong safety and quality mindset
Job Requirements Education and Experience
7+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 2 years leading or mentoring outside sales teams
Proven success meeting or exceeding team or regional sales targets
Strong experience in territory planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and sales analytics
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain high‑performing sales professionals
Skills and Additional Qualifications
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to engage executive‑level customers
Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Willingness to travel regularly within the region (approximately 40–60%)
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Preferred
Experience selling technical services, engineered solutions, or instrumentation
Background supporting industrial, energy, infrastructure, or related markets
Familiarity with consultative or solution‑based selling methodologies
Experience leading teams through growth, change, or performance transformation
