Über
Provide all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
Project long‑range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
Design and maintain databases in a client/server environment.
Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate data use.
Advise users on access to various client/server databases.
Implement and maintain complex databases with regard to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, security, documentation, and statistical methods.
Apply knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and front‑end/back‑end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
Perform database programming and support system design.
Maintain database dictionaries, monitor standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integrate systems through database design.
Required Qualifications
Secret Clearance required.
Must have one of the following security certifications:
Security+ CE
CASP CE
CYSA+
GICSP
GSEC
SSCP
CCNP Security
CISA
CISSP or CISSP Associate
GCED
GCIH
Must possess Secret Clearance with IT‑I Sensitivity and IAT‑II or higher.
Computing environment certifications (select at least one):
Oracle 19c, OCP19C or OCM18, GSOC, DB2, MCITP DBA, MCITP DBD, MCM, MCA: MS SQL Server, MC: Azure DBAA, MC: Azure SEA, MC: Azure SAE, MCSE:DP, MCSM:DP, M2012 SQL, Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional, OCM18, MCSE:SQL Server, MCSA: SQL Server, Azure Database Associate.
Five (5) years progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle SQL; at least three years hands‑on experience with relational database management systems.
Experience working on multiple operating systems and using additional programming languages.
Managed at least two large projects in a large organization, responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large‑scale database.
Expertise with enterprise Oracle database software & application products, Microsoft SQL Server, and IBM DB2.
DLA CE Cert IA Role/Function: DBA Admin.
Additional Job Information Work Environment and Physical Demands
Locations: Battle Creek, MI; Columbus, OH; Dayton, OH; Fort Belvoir, VA; New Cumberland, PA; Ogden, UT; Philadelphia, PA; Richmond, VA.
Environment: Hybrid.
Noise level: Medium.
Work schedule: Day shift Monday–Friday; may be requested to work evenings and weekends.
Travel: Less than 10%.
Physical demands: regularly use hands to handle, feel, touch, reach; speak and hear; stand, walk, sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds. Vision requires close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
U.S. Citizen.
