We pro‑actively enable business development and drive customer adoption of a tailored portfolio of sustainable ASML solutions by applying our industry product and process knowledge in a collaborative learning environment.
This role sits within the OPP (On Product Performance) Applications Engineering team that is client specific to Intel. Your scope includes analysis of large‑scale data sets from metrology tools to characterize scanner performance, enabling scanner monitor metrology measurements to detect issues and show how they impact product performance. Proposals for application product improvement can cover a wide variety of solutions concerning tool set‑up and usage, choices in process control strategies, metrology mark choice and design, and optimization. You will do this in close collaboration with the customer, often connected to the introduction of a new technology node for high volume manufacturing. Due to the scope and impact of this role, it offers the opportunity to grow further in technical expertise or project or management leadership roles.
Roles and responsibilities
Participate and/or lead projects aimed at supporting the customer’s transition to a new technology node or ramping up a specific technology node.
Manage project timelines and technical requirements to meet customer expectations.
Define and drive customer requirements for existing or evaluation products based on technical intimacy with the customer.
Translate a customer on‑product issue into a potential lithography or metrology‑related problem statement, resolve these issues to help maximize performance and use of ASML products.
Participate in proactively identifying ASML application product opportunities for the customer.
Conduct data analysis to ensure that the correct conclusions are drawn from customer‑acquired experimental data and results reported to ASML and the customer.
Meet with internal and external customers to maintain a two‑way level of commitment and keep all involved and affected parties informed of progress.
Prepare technical presentations for customer meetings.
Learn and exercise the ASML metrology product portfolio and maximize the application of ASML products and options to the benefit of the customer.
Education and experience
Master’s degree or PhD in a technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
Minimum 3 years of experience within the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
Minimum 3 years of experience utilizing MATLAB, Python, JMP, or similar software.
Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis and in summarizing findings.
Extensive experience with stakeholder and change management.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders (Account Team, Business Development Managers, Project team, D&E, VHV headquarters, etc.) and external customers.
Additional information
Up to 10% travel for training and x‑site support.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.).
