AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that give customers continual access to innovation. We solve complex problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. You'll join software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other essential roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest cost for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Work with data center design engineering teams, the network new product team, and construction teams to integrate quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in design reviews, page turns, and Building Information Modeling reviews for Basis of Design documents and construction drawing sets, representing Quality Assurance to ensure standards are met from concept through construction.
Influence design teams, construction partners, and other stakeholders to adopt quality assurance checklists that validate conformance to Amazon, industry, and jurisdictional standards during critical milestone checks for design, construction, and cabling activities.
Gather feedback from internal stakeholders to refine quality processes and verify that designs and construction meet standards by reviewing documentation and data from milestone inspections.
Document and align design standards and SOPs as new technology integrates into our infrastructure and conduct training with partner teams to ensure consistent execution across all projects.
Support and maintain updates of QA documents including inspection checklists and installation requirements from design specifications, global design standards, installation best practice guidelines, and product specifications for inside plant cabling.
Implement review mechanisms for new designs and design updates to identify installation gaps and create SOPs to manage remediation plans.
Monitor deployments, collect lessons learned on network pathway quality, and support quality and operational metrics to effectively measure performance and success.
Conduct Network Pathway Infrastructure Quality Training Programs for stakeholders and vendors.
Travel regionally and locally up to 25% to perform site visits and meetings for onsite quality standards review and collect feedback from onsite personnel.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in root cause analysis and error correction, identifying changes to procedures and systems to implement long‑term fixes and avoid repeating issues.
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, RevIT, BIM 360, etc.).
Associate’s degree in Telecommunications, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in network pathway infrastructure design or installation in data center environments.
Familiarity with NEMA VE1/VE2 or IEC 61537 for cable tray construction and installation.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Experience conducting quality inspections in live data center environments with engagement of contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
Experience managing quality across the full project lifecycle, from design review through installation validation and defect remediation.
Knowledge of BICSI RCDD Certification or internationally recognized equivalent (e.g., CDCDP, DCDC).
Benefits
Base salary range: 96,000.00 – 166,300.00 USD annually (USA, OH, New Albany).
