Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Setting: Hospital Location: Syracuse, New York Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Patient Population: Adult Case Volume: 15 surgical cases/day (3-5 large cases) Monthly Volume Averages:
Cases: 403 Blocks: 1,302 Slides (H&E): 2,509 Special Stains: 107 IHC: 573 Recuts: 351
Compensation: $2,300/day Benefits

Perform general anatomic pathology and cytopathology evaluations Conduct frozen section analysis and cytology interpretation Gross specimens and perform cryostat sectioning as needed Collaborate with pathology assistants, histotechnologists, and cytotechnologists Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR systems Qualifications
Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) Cytopathology experience required Active New York State medical license Cytology Proficiency Exam required for GYN cytology Self-Query NPDB report required Working Hours
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No nights or weekends Skills
Strong expertise in cytopathology and general anatomic pathology Ability to independently gross specimens and perform frozen sections Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities
