Job Summary The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing key customer relationships across the Southeast region. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role serves as the primary commercial interface with customers and manufacturer representatives, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives.
The Regional Sales Manager develops and executes strategic sales plans, leveraging market insights and forecasting to identify opportunities, while partnering cross-functionally to deliver strong business results and exceptional customer performance.
What you will be doing
General and Sales Management
Serve as the primary commercial interface with customers and manufacturer representatives, representing the company and strengthening relationships across the assigned region.
Execute sales activities in alignment with the company’s market strategy, values, and established policies and procedures.
Build, manage, and continuously develop a robust pipeline of new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
Lead forecasting, sales analysis, and market intelligence efforts to support data‑driven decision‑making and effective sales execution.
Customer & Business Development
Develop and maintain strong customer partnerships to drive retention, increase market share, and support long‑term business growth.
Identify and capture new conduit business opportunities across existing and new customers.
Maintain strong knowledge of customer needs, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with customer service, planning, and plant operations teams to resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of service and operational alignment.
Partner with internal stakeholders to align customer expectations with operational capabilities.
Reporting & Territory Management
Prepare and deliver regular performance updates, forecasts, and management reports, highlighting opportunities, risks, and key trends.
Maintain a strong presence within the assigned territory, including residing in or relocating to a strategic regional location.
What will make you successful? Required Education/Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in front‑line sales or account management.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Experience in conduit or electrical supplies preferred.
Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and sales processes.
Proven experience in account management and building customer relationships.
Hands‑on experience in the electrical market preferred.
Experience in the soft‑alloy aluminum extrusion industry is a plus.
Ability to collaborate effectively with regional sales teams to coordinate account management efforts.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Results‑oriented with a focus on achieving growth objectives.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Adaptable and able to perform in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.
Extensive travel required within the assigned region.
