Mission As a member of the R&D Engineering Beam team for the Business Unit Proton-Therapy, you will act as the architectural authority for the Beam component, ensuring the consistency, scalability, and long-term sustainability of its software architecture.

Contribute from early solution phases: analyze problems, constraints, and identify technical risks
Define and maintain a robust, scalable software architecture aligned with product strategy
Ensure long-term architectural coherence beyond individual features
Own high-level and detailed design, balancing maintainability, evolvability, and performance
Validate critical design and implementation choices
Support and coach developers; contribute hands‑on when needed
Anticipate risks and ensure alignment between architecture and delivered behavior
Support integration, testing, and delivery readinessAct as the single point of contact for software architecture topics
Communicate complex concepts clearly and challenge decisions pragmatically
Define a clear chain and delegate investigations, proposals and implementations while remaining accountable.
What we value
Senior Software Engineer or Software Architect with strong experience in complex systems
Proven ability to take architectural ownership and drive technical decisions
Experience with distributed, real-time, or critical systems environments
Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and modern software architecture practices
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in medical systems or proton therapy is a plus
