Overview We are so much more than a parts store and we are looking for great talent to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate you are the "face of the retail store" and the go‑to person for customers entering our stores for all automotive needs.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone
Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions
Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone in our store
Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast‑paced stores
Welcome retail customers into the store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience
Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system
Desired Attributes
Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service questions
Have gained parts experience by working in the automotive industry or through personal tinkering and repair work
Willing to learn all things automotive if you do not have a background in parts
Want to join a team where you can learn and grow your career – the opportunities are endless!
Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree are a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Love fast‑paced retail environments
Great listening skills and empathy for customers
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision
Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
Entirely customer‑centric (external/internal)
ASE certifications

Compensation This position offers hourly pay of $21.50, with progression to the top end of the range within 12 months of hire. Starting rates for other positions are determined by individual skills, experience, and qualifications.
