We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and backend services. This role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions that meet client needs. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend web applications and headless APIs using Java. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure optimal functionality and user experience. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Apply test‑driven development (TDD) methodologies. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance. Work within Agile methodologies, refining user stories and acceptance criteria. Break down larger tasks into sub‑tasks for accurate estimation and sprint planning. Required Skills Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Knowledge of GIT version control systems. Proficiency in JUNIT for unit testing. Proficiency in Oracle SQL database systems. Familiarity with Apache Tomcat server. Understanding of web security principles. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Groovy. Experience with OpenSearch. Ability to configure Tomcat. Proficiency with Ansible. Familiarity with Nginx. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience Minimum 5 years of related work experience in backend development.
