Position Description & Qualifications Are you a Systems Administrator looking for a place to make an impact every day? Serco is the place for you! Join our team as a Systems Administrator in support of our Anti‑Terrorism Force‑Protection (AT/FP) program with the United States Navy.
The AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is executed by the CNIC PSS AT/FP Ashore Program Management Office (PMO), NAVFAC Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC), and CNIC Regional Program Managers (RPMs). The primary goal of the CNIC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is to provide both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations as required to sustain AT/FP Ashore Program systems in accordance with their operational requirements.
This position is based in the Navy District Washington (NDW) region and will require 75% travel or more. Supported sites within the CONUS regions including Navy Region Mid‑Atlantic and Southeast.
As the AT/FP GSC Systems Administrator II for the NDW Region, you will support the Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Public Safety Systems (PSS) Ashore Programs and their mission is to design, procure, integrate, install, and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission‑critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human‑caused disasters.
This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret Security clearance.
Responsibilities In this role, you will:
Set up and maintain a system or specific components of a system to include but not limited to:
Install, configure, and update hardware and software
Establish and manage user accounts; oversee or conduct backup and recovery tasks
Implement operational and technical security controls
Adhere to organizational security policies and procedures
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Provide critical preventive and corrective maintenance, information assurance, asset management, technical systems updates, service call resolution, and configuration management for C4I systems worldwide
Provide Operation and Maintenance support including:
Patch management/testing
STIG implementation and mitigation
Information assurance/security
Host Based Security/Anti‑virus and data backup solutions
Provide system administration and engineering support for Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of relevant experience.
A CompTIA Security+ or higher DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Strong understanding of current Microsoft supported Windows operating systems.
Experience in the administration of Windows Active Directory domain management to include Group Policy Object management and data backup solutions such as Macrium Reflect.
Must have experience with the implementation of vulnerability remediation and STIG configurations for system hardening.
Ability to multitask and teach or assist others to resolve systems related issues.
Ability to create Standard Operating Procedure documentation for designs and implementation strategies of new hardware and software deployments.
Ability to produce system specifications, design requirements, test evaluation planning documents, and technical publications and reports.
Familiarity with DoD networking and security accreditation requirements.
Ability to support projects at client sites where working conditions may vary.
Ability to travel as necessary (75% or more).
Additional desired experience and skills:
Trellix (McAfee) HBSS (Endpoint Security), ACAS, SCAP, STIGs, VRAM, eMASS, and DoD RMF.
Experience with Navy Anti‑Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) systems preferred.
