As a Counter Sales Specialist , you will work as a friendly associate, ensuring each customer receives excellent service following Van Marcke standards. You will aid customers by answering questions, locating merchandise, assist with receiving, stocking, pricing and maintaining a clean, orderly store, and perform all duties in a store POS checkout environment.

What You’ll Do
Monitor the unloading of all materials into the facility and ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection.
Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
Resolve discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
Maintain appropriate merchandise stock levels, adjacencies, presentations, and ensure the selling floor is adequately stocked.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store staff meetings, store walk‑throughs, and audits.
Maintain cleanliness of the store: take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms, associate room, and stockroom.
Perform all other duties within the store as trained and directed by the store manager or upper management.
What You’ll Need
High school degree; some college preferred.
Previous experience in a retail environment, either in sales or merchandising roles.
Product knowledge of hardware‑related and/or plumbing products, along with a willingness to learn.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekday and weekend shifts.
Ability to travel to other store locations if needed.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds frequently to load and unload orders.
