Position Overview Willing to contribute to a dynamic team? Airgas is hiring a Counter Sales Associate in Lima, OH. As a key partner with our customers, you will deliver industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment and related supplies, while ensuring top‑class customer service and safety compliance. Responsibilities Provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies to customers. Serve as a trusted guide, advising customers on tools and materials and demonstrating equipment use to build confidence. Enforce company safety policies and proper use of personal protective equipment. Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external partners. Accurately complete required paperwork, including coding, costing, and pricing. Partner with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their tasks. Manage order entry, process transactions, and aid in deposit reconciliation. Coordinate via phone, e‑mail, and in person on costs, delivery, and related information. Support outgoing call strategy to promote branch growth. Transfer merchandise between locations to meet customer needs. Maintain a positive work atmosphere, supportive communication, and welcoming showroom displays. Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (or an equivalent combination of education and life experience). Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting. Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus. Attention to detail in handling transactions. Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support. Must be able to operate in a drug‑free workplace. Preferred: background in gas, welding, or safety supplies. Preferred: familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office applications. Preferred: detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
