About the Role As an engineer, you will design and implement architecture, tools, and governance for our CI/CD systems running in a multi-cloud environment. You will continuously monitor operational system performance and drive refinements to reduce complexity, increase reliability, and match timeliness with efficient costs. Your responsibilities involve system design, tool and process governance, operations, reliability, and security for the environment in which Maxar’s CI/CD environment runs on AWS, and for the SaaS and local tools that compose our CI/CD stack (Artifactory, GitHub, GitLab, and more). You will design and code in our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment using Terraform, constantly researching ways to make it more secure, stable, and efficient. Responsibilities Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments. Coordinate the deployment of software tools to minimize customer impact. Proactively analyze and propose improvements to our overall environment and toolsets. Propose and design more effective monitoring and alerting for production services. Integrate with Development teams to understand unfulfilled requirements and needs. Participate in an on‑call rotation. Minimum Requirements U.S. citizen and willing to obtain a Secret security clearance. 4 years of software or infrastructure engineering experience. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or 6 additional years of experience may substitute). 5+ years experience with GitHub, GitLab, Artifactory, or equivalent CI/CD technologies. 5+ years experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or other). 3+ years experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker. Ability to be on call on a rotating basis. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year Linux system experience. Experience using a wide variety of open-source technologies. Experience administering GitHub, GitLab, Artifactory, and Vault. Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation. Familiarity with Microservice Architecture or SOA. Familiarity with Agile development process from build through deployment. Pay Transparency Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates meeting the minimum requirements should not expect compensation at the top of the range. The listed range for Colorado is $82,000 – $109,000 – $119,900 annually; other states use geographic cost of labor to develop market‑driven ranges.
