Job Overview Data Science Platform Engineering team at Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a web developer for a role that blends software engineering with data platform responsibilities. The position offers a merit‑based work‑from‑home program after initial in‑person training, allowing up to three remote days per week. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software programs and applications. Maintain and support new and existing systems. Communicate effectively with business users, team members, and management. Design and implement robust, flexible, and easily maintainable solutions. Identify and present opportunities for process improvement. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Understanding of object‑oriented and/or functional design paradigms and best practices. High aptitude for logical thinking and pattern recognition. Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and practices. Adaptability to constant change and innovation. Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular. Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, WebAPI, and database design (SQL). Experience with Core MVC, AWS Cloud technologies, automated testing, software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and version control (git) is a plus. Benefits Competitive base salary.
