ResponsibilitiesLead your Area Construction Management Staff in achieving program/project management objectives while adhering to the standard Company policies and procedures.
Create and build meaningful long term relationships with clients.
Responsible for managing the profit & loss for the construction management group within your area.
Support Construction Management staff in the field to ensure the best outcomes in time, cost and quality work.
Oversees the work of Construction Managers/Resident Engineers/Resident Project Representatives/ Inspectors and support staff.
Communicates with and fosters collaborative relationship with other Carollo operating units aimed at assuring successful delivery of construction management services to clients and the overall success of CM Group.
Consistently and successfully deploys solutions for key issues as assigned.
Consistently adheres to and enforces internal Company processes and policies such as business and contracting rules.
Successfully manages multiple large complex initiatives and/or projects simultaneously.
Leads complex teams through challenging project assignments and complex client environments.
Accountable for assuring that projects are staffed with the appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives within Company profit model. Establish and implement a training program in support of all construction management and inspection staff levels.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
Works in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by implementing company health and safety guidelines, practices and policies.
Lead the development of project/program proposals whether unsolicited, or responding to requests for qualifications or requests for proposals.
Develop and maintain new project leads and opportunities
Collaborate with the marketing/proposal group to develop marketing materials, proposals and prepare for interviews
Leads the CMS group within your area to develop strategic plans for entering new markets or for specific projects
QualificationsRequires thorough understanding of construction management processes and in-depth financial understanding of construction management
Ability to work independently and have strong personnel management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and lead engineer/project team, and deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
Detail orientated organized, and thorough
Work within a team environment and communicate clearly to lead engineer, clients and contractor
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
Strong knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6 and Bentley PWCM (EADOC).
Advanced knowledge and understanding of construction methods, standards, specifications and plans
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strong computer and internet skills
Proficient in standard computer software such as MS Word and Excel
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years experience in managing the construction of water and wastewater facilities; the last 5 years of experience should include projects with a construction value of over $15 million
Critical Leadership position that requires project lead experience
Preferred QualificationsAssociate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related program
Professional registration (PE/PG) and construction/project management certification (CCM/PMI)
Direct owner representative experience and management involvement in municipal programs/projects
Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety course and other construction safety training
Candidates should be experienced in staff development, client services and skilled in project controls systems, problem solving, claims avoidance
Compensation Range$170,000 to $220,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
