Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Business Analyst in Houma, Louisiana.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Systems & Process Automation Analyst supports operational excellence initiatives through business analysis, process improvement, automation, reporting, and application development. Working closely with subject matter experts across multiple business functions, this role identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes, enhance compliance, and leverage technology solutions that support business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and standardization.
Develop and maintain business applications, automated workflows, and AI-powered solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to support operational and management decision-making.
Assist with business system implementations, enhancements, integrations, and user adoption initiatives.
Support compliance with operational policies, procedures, and business system standards.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to document requirements, develop solutions, and implement best practices.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and training materials.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, data quality, and operational effectiveness.
Provide user support and training for business applications and automation solutions.
Familiarity with AI tools, low-code/no-code development platforms, and automation technologies is highly desirable.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field or 1-3 years’ experience with mentioned systems.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) through coursework, internships, or professional experience preferred.
Experience with workflow development, process improvement, reporting, or business analytics preferred.
ERP system exposure is beneficial but not required.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of database concepts, reporting, and data analysis principles is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays when necessary during implementation projects.
Periodic domestic and international travel may be required.
