Seeking dynamic, detail-oriented leader to oversee various residences throughout Suffolk County.
General Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for overall administration of assigned residences, including regulation compliance, staff supervision & training, monitoring of budgets and physical plant issues, and ensure quality of care for the individuals served.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Insure adequate coverage of all residences, i.e., monthly staffing/scheduling.
- Insure proper correspondence with parents and outside providers, i.e., day programs, DDSO, caseworkers.
- Supervise financial component.
- Inspect the DDP's for accurate completion and documentation.
- Audit preparation of consumer records to meet state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate, attend, and insure accurate completion of incident review component.
- Weekly supervision of managers/assistant managers.
- Maintain weekly residence managers/assistant managers staff meetings.
- Conduct staff evaluations - residence managers, assistant managers, and clinical team.
- Interview and hire residence mangers, assistant managers, and clinical team.
- Rotating on call administrator.
- Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Residential Program-Managers, Social Workers; Applied Behavior Specialists, Nurses and Recreation Therapists. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises various non-supervisory employees.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to three years OPWDD management experience and/or training. Valid NYS Driver License plus one year licensed driving experience required.
