Clinical Leadership
Provide oversight for daily operations of
surgical nursing units
, including OR, PACU, and pre/post-operative care.
Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Maintain clinical competency and support best practices in surgical nursing.
Participate in direct patient care as needed due to staffing or acuity demands.
Staff Management & Development
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate
nursing
staff.
Develop
staffing
schedules that align with patient census and acuity in a rural setting.
Mentor and coach
nursing
personnel to support professional growth.
Promote staff engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
Operational Management
Oversee departmental budgets, resource allocation, and cost control.
Monitor productivity, patient flow, and efficiency of surgical services.
Ensure equipment and supply availability, with attention to rural resource limitations.
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State
Nursing License
or Graduate Nurse Permit required
BLS required.
BSN required
Degree from accredited academic
nursing program
