That is what has kept us growing for half a century – and it is the foundation for everything our Sales Manager does. Opportunity We are looking for a Sales Manager who leads from the front. This is a player/coach role – you carry your own book of business while leading, developing, and holding accountable a team of 3-4 Sales Consultants. Roughly half your time is personal production. The other half is making your team better. What You Will Do Carry your own active pipeline of inbound and outbound leads, with a focus on large or complex projects – from first contact through signed contract Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of 3-4 Sales Consultants through structured one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, and deal coaching sessions Set performance expectations for the team and take corrective action when KPIs trend in the wrong direction Run deal reviews and coaching sessions that sharpen your team’s skills and move opportunities forward with urgency Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans aligned with monthly and annual revenue targets – for your book and your team’s portfolio Build and maintain strong customer relationships, modeling the consultative approach and professionalism you expect from your team Monitor team and individual KPIs and generate regular performance reports and pipeline forecasts for senior leadership Champion disciplined CRM use across the team – pipeline hygiene and activity tracking are non-negotiable Qualifications 3+ years of proven inside sales experience with at least 1 year in a team lead, senior, or management capacity A genuine track record of hitting or exceeding personal sales targets – not just managing a team that hits them Strong leadership instincts – you can hold people accountable and keep them motivated at the same time Confident communicator on the phone, in writing, and in escalated customer situations CRM proficiency and comfort with sales reporting and performance dashboards Even better if you have experience in construction, building products, PEMB, or manufacturing sales; familiarity with consultative sales methodologies; or experience coaching from data rather than instinct alone Compensation $65,000 base salary Individual commission on your personal production – uncapped Team override commission on your team’s production – uncapped Total comp target: $80,000 - $300,000+ depending on personal and team performance Sales competitions and top-performer recognition programs Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Group Life Insurance and AD&D – 100% company-paid Long-Term Disability – 100% company-paid 401(k) Retirement Plan 128 hours of Paid Time Off + 8 paid holidays Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Career Growth High-performing Sales Managers at Sunward have a clear path toward Director of Sales and senior leadership as the company grows.
