Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Coordinate with Crane Global Security to address and resolve security monitoring alerts.
Identify, assess, and action security and safety events, including but not limited to unauthorized stops, route deviations, extended dwell, loss of signal, and tampering indicators.
Perform immediate validation by contacting carriers or drivers to confirm shipment status and security conditions.
Follow HVHR escalation protocols, including notifying Security and leadership promptly when thresholds are met.
Document all actions, validations, and communications accurately in the system of record for audit readiness.
Provide shift handoffs and summaries to ensure continuity across 24/7 coverage.
Adhere to customer‑specific security SOPs, visibility requirements, and escalation matrices.
Support continuous improvement through trend identification and reporting on recurring security events and risks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Job requires the ability to use vision, adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen.
Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
Job will require regular and punctual attendance as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong situational awareness and decision‑making under time pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently during overnight, weekend, and after‑hours shifts.
Familiarity with GPS tracking platforms, TMS systems, and security monitoring tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to audit‑defensible documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
2+ years of domestic (U.S.) transportation or logistics experience required, including over‑the‑road freight or carrier operations.
Experience with GPS tracking, TMS platforms, and real‑time shipment monitoring preferred.
Exposure to security monitoring, HVHR shipments, or control tower operations is a plus.
