The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, validating, analyzing, and reporting data from various sources. This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and the capability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, organize, clean, and validate data from internal and external sources.
Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making.
Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
Assist in developing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Support forecasting, planning, and performance analysis initiatives.
Collaborate with departments to understand reporting requirements and business objectives.
Present analytical findings and recommendations through reports and presentations.
Document data processes, methodologies, and reporting procedures.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.
Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Eagerness to learn new analytical tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Previous experience through internships, academic projects, research assignments, reporting roles, or data-related work is an advantage.
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools is beneficial.
Experience with dashboard development, reporting automation, and business intelligence platforms is preferred.
Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and data visualization best practices is a plus.
