Summary The Network Engineer 3's primary duty involves design work, specifically designing a tailored solution to meet a specific client request. The position frequently anticipates problems, analyzes risk mitigation, articulates business value and impact, and knows when to escalates issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Level 3/4 engineering support for the corporate enterprise network.
Verify hardware/software requirements, design and configure Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Data Center Network and/or Voice Network Technologies.
Perform network equipment provisioning, configuration, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Support network technologies and provide a high level of user support.
Provide effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer/vendor dialogue.
Document small‑to‑medium‑scale projects and deliver presentations with minimal supervision.
Dissect complex situations and refocus on critical technology tasks.
Maintain a high degree of technical expertise to recommend process improvements.
Serve as an informal leader on tactical problems.
Maintain current professional and technical skills.
Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies and how they integrate and drive value for Huntington.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience.
7+ years of related experience in Network Engineering and/or Solutions Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical certifications as required; CCNP preferred.
Hands‑on experience with Cisco and/or Arista technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, etc.).
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python).
Experience with incident response and cross‑functional partnership with other lines of business.
Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design.
Advanced understanding of performance and monitoring.
Proficiency in more than one specific infrastructure technology.
Expertise in best practices and Huntington policies.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and in a group.
Ability to effectively multi‑task, prioritize, and be self‑directed and accountable.
Exempt Status Yes (not eligible for overtime pay)

Compensation Range $70,000 - $140,000 Annual Salary. The range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation for this position. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and education. Colleagues are also eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
