The Business Analyst (Federal Programs) supports our clients with process optimization, requirements analysis, and system integrations. Ideal candidates have at least 8 years of experience as a business analyst or subject‑matter expert, with at least 5 years supporting federal programs focused on immigration. Candidates must be a certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP), or hold an equivalent certification. Responsibilities Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and workflow optimization with a focus on immigration. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, testing, and system deployment. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions. Experience with immigration policy. Exposure to agencies and offices operating in the immigration ecosystem and DHS systems. Take on new responsibilities and learn the mission/business while maintaining excellent attention to detail, finding ways to exceed client expectations. Contribute to company service areas beyond just the project to build new skills and help the company grow by developing our capabilities and selling new business. Contribute to our company culture, which promotes collaboration, learning, and helping others to grow and develop. Collaborate with clients to solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service, and achieving mission results. Apply excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients. Required Qualifications At least 8 years of experience developing and executing strategies for federal programs. 5 years supporting federal programs with a focus on immigration. Experience in large, complex federal government or nationwide programs focused on immigration services. U.S. citizenship is required; the position does not offer employer sponsorship. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP), or equivalent. Current holder or ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Proven ability to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment while managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills, with strong leadership potential. Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in person. Technologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and collaboration tools like SharePoint. Desire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts; enjoys collaboration and involvement in company events, offerings, and special projects. Ability to work in the Washington, DC metro area and travel to different locations. Critical skills: executive presence, leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, excellent problem‑solving skills, and interest in consulting work. Interest in assignments outside a single project is strongly desired. Benefits Salary range: $85,000 – $135,000. Compensation is determined by skill set, experience, education, certifications, and client requirements.
