Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial data to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Assist with month-end close activities and support external audit preparation.
- Develop and monitor departmental and program budgets, providing variance analysis and guidance to program managers.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and accounts payable sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and GASB standards.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to federal and state agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage grant reporting for funding sources, including reconciliation with the general ledger and resolution of discrepancies.
- Review grant expenditures for allowability and appropriateness, performing Budget vs. Actual analyses to prevent overspending.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for audits, site visits, and desk reviews.
- Uphold internal control procedures and safeguard confidential financial information.
- Complete special projects and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting.
- Excellent work-life balance - standard 9-5 schedule with 2 remote days per week.
