Leading the design and delivery of critical product components, the full-time remote Staff Backend Developer will build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines while driving technical quality and engineering standards across a core product area. Key responsibilities
Own delivery for significant features or systems, from clarifying requirements to executing and iterating solutions Design and build scalable backend services and data pipelines that support core product functionality Mentor engineers through design reviews and provide hands-on technical guidance while influencing engineering best practices
Required qualifications
6+ years of overall software engineering experience, with 3+ years in product teams building and shipping production systems 5+ years of hands-on coding experience in Python and/or TypeScript, focusing on APIs, services, and data pipelines Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD practices Proven ability to own systems end-to-end, from design through production and iteration Experience designing and scaling distributed systems in production environments
