Position Summary
We're seeking a Full-Time Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic therapy team. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver personalized, hands-on care that promotes recovery, mobility, and functional independence for patients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, flexibility, and balance
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
- Prepare and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment
- Assist patients with transfers and mobility training during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Active Kansas PTA license through the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) (required)
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience (required); 2+ years and home health experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and compassionate
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
