Coordinate, oversee, and implement all activities involving personnel practices, policies, and procedures at the Fort Smith facilities. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Saturday as needed): 4:00PM - 1:00AM. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the implementation of Company policies and procedures. Assists employees with any problem, complaint, or conflict that may arise. Assists management with employee counseling, corrective actions, performance appraisals and terminations. Interview employees during incident investigations. Makes certain all personnel policies are constantly being checked, updated, and communicated to management within the Company. Documentation and record keeping of personnel files. Performs data entry such as status changes, address changes, absenteeism, and tax changes. Actively manages the new hire training program, its trainers, and affected team members. This is a safety sensitive position. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Directly supervises up to 16 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is desired; or one to two years related HR experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of E-Mail software, Success Factors, HR Utilities, timesheet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Other Qualifications: Highly organized and able to think systemically to structure the work and design in a logical flow. Other key attributes include self-motivated, organized, computer literate, attention to detail and follow through with exceptional writing and communication skills. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
