The Hospice Aide provides personal care and supportive services to hospice patients in their place of residence under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role focuses on maintaining patient dignity, promoting comfort, and supporting quality of life while creating a safe and clean environment. Our Hospice Aides are a valued part of the interdisciplinary care team and are instrumental in fulfilling the mission of hospice. As a Hospice Aide, You Will:
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN and according to the established Plan of Care Assist patients with personal care, bathing, grooming, dressing, and activities of daily living Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation in accordance with agency policies Observe and report changes in patient condition and document care provided accurately and timely Maintain infection prevention and control practices to ensure a clean and safe environment Promote respectful, compassionate communication with patients, families, and care team members Preserve patient dignity, privacy, and personal property at all times Assist with nutrition and hydration support according to the care plan Perform assigned treatments and procedures within scope and agency guidelines Demonstrate strong time management and contribute to efficient agency operations Support agency values, mission, and quality standards of hospice care Qualifications:
Current CNA and HHA Certification required Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred Current CPR Certification required Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Current Auto Insurance required HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred Hospice or Home Health experience preferred Benefits & Perks:
