Role Description The Event Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Honolulu, HI, responsible for driving event revenue and building long-term client relationships. This role manages the full sales cycle, including prospecting, responding to inquiries, conducting site visits, preparing proposals, and closing bookings for private, social, and corporate events. The Event Sales Manager partners closely with the operations and culinary teams to translate client needs into detailed event orders, ensuring seamless execution from initial concept through post-event follow-up. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and managing a sales pipeline, maintaining a CRM database, preparing forecasts, and meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales targets. The role also involves attending industry events, networking with local partners, and representing Limelight Hawaii as an ambassador of the brand in the community.
Qualifications
Strong event-focused client service skills, including experience with Event Planning and Event Management for private, corporate, and social events.
Proven success in Sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in hospitality, events, or related industries.
Excellent Communication skills, including clear written proposals, confident presentations, and effective negotiation with clients and vendors.
Experience coordinating Private Events, with the ability to tailor offerings to different audiences, budgets, and event objectives.
Ability to work on-site with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Proficiency with CRM and event management software, as well as basic skills in MS Office or Google Workspace.
Previous experience in hospitality, event venues, hotels, or catering is highly preferred; knowledge of the Honolulu market is a plus.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
