Position Overview Manager, Software Engineering Product Manager – EDP Insights and Metadata Team. Hybrid schedule: onsite in Columbus, Ohio, 2 days per week (Monday & Wednesday). Responsible for leading a team of 12‑14 associates and contractors to support the Enterprise Digital Platform (EDP) and applications such as PDX, PAL, and PDU, delivering trusted insights and governance across the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 12‑14 associates and contractors. Lead an Agile line that builds and maintains applications to enable governance, using tools such as Databricks, Power BI, ETL, Python, Spring Boot/Spring Batch, Angular, AWS Cloud, Apigee APIs, and Java. Oversee product evolution, financials, contracts, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and technology solutions. Partner with leaders to ensure viable total cost of ownership and maintain application health. Assist in developing and implementing application suite roadmaps by evaluating business needs, competitive landscape, and security considerations. Manage risk mitigation controls and support internal and external audits. Represent the voice of the customer and advocate business cases within the portfolio management team. Hire, develop talent, and provide coaching and feedback to the team. Ensure delivery availability and resiliency following established operating mechanisms and best practices. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Strong technical depth, software engineering leadership, and product management experience. Familiarity with integration risks, industry‑standard mitigation tactics, and Agentic AI technology stack. Experience managing hybrid teams across multiple geographic locations and time zones. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills. Self‑awareness, empathy, and resilience to inspire and lead. Education & Experience Undergraduate studies in management information systems, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or comparable experience. Six years of experience in application suite management with at least four years of leading teams across multiple technologies. Proven experience in empowering and building an engaged team. Solid understanding of modern development life cycle, project delivery, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Knowledge of data governance, ownership, data quality, and data lineage. Insurance and financial services industry knowledge is a plus. Reporting Relationships Reports to Technology Director or above; leads a team of 5 or more technology professionals. Job Conditions Exempt, not eligible for overtime. Normal office environment; may have on‑call responsibility after normal hours or on weekends. Adheres to ADA accommodations. Salary Range The national salary range for this position is $118,000.00 – $222,000.00, with an expected starting salary of $118,000.00 – $178,000.00.
